Regulatory Prosecution
The team has substantial experience of handling regulatory prosecution work in the Magistrates' Court, both for private commerce and in respect of local authority trading standards.
Road Traffic
In addition to the regulatory services referred to above, we also have particular expertise in dealing with motoring law cases. We have helped numerous existing clients both individual and corporate when they or their key personnel have fallen foul of speed limits and other motoring and transport regulatory offences. We frequently save clients licences, avoiding the potential loss of employment and the loss of business.
Recent projects have included:
- Successfully defending a large national charity alleged to have systematically breached fundraising legislation.
- Advising and representing a major international food processor being investigated for serious allegations of using unlicensed migrant labour. As a result of our timely intervention, a prosecution was avoided
- Designing and implementing documentation and presigning procedural systems for a leading national train operating company in order to proactively and effectively prosecute fare evaders
- Successfully defending senior company employees facing allegations of poor driving standards, saving their driving licences and avoiding any subsequent loss of business
We provide cover for any person interviewed by any prosecuting authority including the police, HSE, Customs and Excise, and Trading standards. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
