Under GDPR, Employees have the right to make a subject access request in order to gain copies of all the personal data held by their Employer. They might do this to strengthen their position during a dispute or conflict.
Your responsibilities as an Employer
As an Employer, it is your responsibility to provide this information within 1 month. If you hold a lot of information on your employees, compiling the data and ensuring any third parties mentioned within are anonymised can be a time consuming task for which you may simply not have the resource.
