Based in our York office, we are looking for an Employment Solicitor to join our established team, further developing our employment offering and playing a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional level of service to our existing clients.
The successful candidate will be a strong technical expert with experience acting and advising in relation to the full spectrum of employment advisory work including disciplinary and grievance issues, restructures, absence management and handling discrimination allegations.
They will also be confident in supporting clients throughout the employment tribunal process and may undertake their own advocacy where appropriate. Experience in providing corporate support in respect of sales and acquisitions is also beneficial.
Alongside the requisite technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent client management skills, strong researching and drafting ability, and a commitment to maintaining up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice. They will also have a proven track record in business development and the ability to generate new work.
We are especially interested to hear from well rounded candidates with a minimum of 3 years PQE who feel that they bring the required technical knowledge and experience alongside excellent communication skills, a strong team ethic and the ambition to support additional growth within the team. There may be scope to be flexible on PQE for the right candidate.
