After completing her Law degree at the University of Leeds, Aleks joined Langleys as a Trainee solicitor in 2011 and qualified as a solicitor in 2013, specialising in Employment Law.
Aleks has worked with Langleys since she qualified and, during this time, has gained considerable experience representing clients on matters including discrimination, unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal.
She has a very high success rate at representing clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and handles claims from the start to finish. She has also negotiated many favourable and significant settlements, for both employees and employers.
Aleks offers practical and commercial advice to both employees and employers on all aspects of employment law and has experience working with private companies, from SMEs to PLCs, public sector organisations and charities.
Day to day she provides assistance and advice in respect of a wide range of general employment queries, including drafting contracts of employment, policies and procedures, advising on disciplinaries and grievances, managing sickness absence, redundancies and restructures, varying terms and conditions of employment and Settlement Agreements. Aleks prides herself on providing thorough and timely advice and working with clients to find a commercially workable solution.
Additionally, Aleks delivers bespoke training to HR professionals and managers, giving them all the tools necessary to avoid unwanted Employment Tribunal claims. She regularly presents at internal and external seminars on a range of employment topics and runs the monthly Gainsborough Business Breakfast Club meetings.
Further to the legal services, Aleks is a member of a Trust Board of a local academy, providing her with an understanding of the issues faced by clients in the education sector.
