Cohabitation and property disputes

Many people are not aware that living together, even for a long period of time, does not automatically grant you the same rights as a married couple. Without a formal agreement, problems can arise if the relationship breaks down, including where family or friends purchase property together.

Divorce and Separation

The breakdown of a relationship can be one of the most stressful and challenging situations a person can experience. From the division of assets to the protection of the children, it is important that you understand your rights. Offering specialist expert advice and guidance, we will recommend a path that helps you take control of the situation and leads to a resolution that works for the situation you find yourself in.

Pre & Post-Nuptial Agreements

Clearly defining who is entitled to what, before making the commitment to get married, is a sensible idea when it comes to protecting your assets in the future. Based in York and Lincoln and advising clients throughout East Yorkshire and nationwide, our  team of specialist family lawyers  can provide clear guidance and advice on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, ensuring your best interests are safeguarded, now and in the future.
