Since joining Langleys in May 2011, Amanda has enjoyed a promotion to Partner, a position she has held since July 2015.
Amanda specialises in a number of areas such as Wills, succession planning and administration of estates. Her speciality lies with elderly client work, including issues surrounding mental capacity, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work. Amanda also acts as a professional attorney managing the finances of a number of elderly clients.
Amanda is recognised for her work in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and is regularly asked to speak at events by her contacts in recognition of her skill and dedication to her area of expertise.
Amanda is Chair and Director of Radford Care Group, an elderly person’s charity providing day care services based Nottingham which Amanda has supported for many years.
Additionally, Amanda is the founder and organiser of the Nottingham Mental Capacity Act Forum (“the Forum”). Founded by Amanda over 10 years ago, the Forum was set up to support those using the Mental Capacity Act 2005 on a daily basis in their jobs.
The Forum, which is supported by Langleys, Radford Care Group, the Office of the Public Guardian and Nottingham City Care Partnership takes place quarterly and allows care professionals across the East Midlands to share information and keep up to date with all areas relating to mental capacity.
