An Associate Solicitor in the firm’s Employment Team, David deals with a wide variety of matters affecting both Employers and Employees.
Enjoying the technical challenges this area of law involves, as well as the people-oriented focus, David aims, where possible, to resolve situations in a way that allows the employer and employee to move forward positively.
Following his studies at the University of Liverpool, David began working as a paralegal in 2003 beginning his career in a consultancy where he represented Employers at Tribunals.
As his career progressed, David qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 and moved into practice, representing both Companies and Employees on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law related matters, including Employment Tribunal proceedings, unfair dismissals and matters such as grievances and disciplinaries, as well as the application of and obligations arising under TUPE. He also has a particular interest in the law on whistleblowing
In addition to his work in practice, David has been published in the industry publication ELA Briefing, where he has discussed key issues and topics affecting members.
Considering what he enjoys most about being part of the team at Langleys, David states, “Everyone is very friendly and down-to-earth, which makes for a supportive and collaborative working environment.”
