Edward completed his law degree in Manchester, graduating in 2009 with a First Class Honours degree. He then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Manchester in 2010, obtaining a Distinction and the annual prize for Private Client studies. Edward qualified as a solicitor in 2012 having trained at a leading commercial firm based in Manchester where he subsequently worked prior to joining Langleys in 2015.
Edward is full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”) and has specialised in Private Client work since qualification. Edward has particular expertise in dealing with the administration of high value estates.
Edward advises clients in relation to all types of Private Client matters. This includes advice regarding Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate Applications, Estate Administration (including international probates with cross-border interests), Inheritance Tax and Succession Planning.
Edward also has a keen interest in Court of Protection work having acted for clients in relation to applications for Deputyship Orders for both Financial and Welfare matters, as well as interim applications within proceedings. He has experience advising clients in relation to disputed applications.
