Jeremy is a Solicitor in the private client team in York. He deals with a wide range of private client matters including:
- Wills and succession planning;
- Lasting Powers of Attorney and mental capacity issues;
- Estate administration;
- The creation, and administration of, trusts; and
- Contentious private client work including disputed Wills, breach of trust claims, administration of estate disputes, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and constructive trust and proprietary estoppel claims.
Jeremy is a Student Member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is currently studying for a STEP Certificate in Trusts and Estates - England and Wales. He is also an Associate Member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
Before joining Langleys, Jeremy gained experience working at three top 100 law firms across London and the South of England.
He worked as a Paralegal for 18 months at a large commercial law firm in the South West specialising in the preparation of Wills and the preparation, and registration of, Lasting Powers of Attorney. He subsequently completed his training contract at a London-based law firm with seats in Property Litigation, Pensions and Employee Benefits, Residential Property and Private Client.
After qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2016, Jeremy worked for three years as an Associate in a large commercial law firm across their Hampshire and London offices specialising in contentious trusts and estates work before joining Langleys in October 2019.
