About Laura

Lincolnshire born and bred, Laura studied law at the University of Reading, before moving to Birmingham for the rest of her legal training.  Laura completed her training contract at a major international law firm in Birmingham, qualifying into their award-winning Employment and Equalities team in 2012. In 2016 she seized an opportunity to return “home”, working at a large regional firm before moving to Langleys in September 2021 as Senior Associate Solicitor.

Laura has worked with a wide variety of businesses from SMEs through to large international corporates on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Laura’s experience includes managing a range of tribunal claims involving issues such as redundancy, TUPE, whistleblowing and discrimination. Laura also advises and train clients on general employment issues, employment contracts and severance agreements. Laura also advises on employment aspects of corporate/commercial transactions.

Laura has a special interest in employment matters in the agricultural sector, and is looking forward to continuing to develop her education practice.

Laura’s interest in the agricultural sector has led to her being involved in a number of different groups in this area. Including:

  • The Management Committee of the Lincolnshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs
  • The Council of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society
  • Rural Charities Dinner Committee

  •  Carrying out complex grievance and whistleblowing investigations on behalf of public sector employers.
  •  Advising on ever-changing schemes and regulations in relation to the coronavirus pandemic.
  •  Advising on tribunal claims involving a wide range of issues such as redundancy, whistleblowing and discrimination. 

Personal interests

Laura is an avid long-distance runner, regularly running in excess of 45 miles per week, and has completed her 7th marathon in autumn 2021.
