Court Of Protection
Lisa specialises in the general management of numerous clients’ financial affairs, to include large compensation awards, as a professional deputy. Lisa has experience in applications regarding statutory wills, loans and gifts and applications for authority to buy and sell property, to include applications for the appointment of a new trustee where required.
Lisa also deals with applications for lay deputies, to include applications for family members to be appointed to act as financial deputies for their loved ones, and all associated applications.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
Lisa specifically specialises in areas where clients’ capacity may be deteriorating, whereby Lisa liaises closely with welfare professionals in assisting with setting up Lasting Powers of Attorney wherever possible.
Personal Injury Trusts
When clients have been awarded compensation arising out of a personal injury claim, if those monies were paid over to them directly, their means tested benefits could be affected. Lisa advises clients in setting up personal injury trusts to contain those awards, with a view to protecting their means tested benefits.
Wills & Probate
Perhaps, because it involves a subject, we least like to think about, many of us never get around to making a will, despite it being one of the most important documents you could ever need. Lisa specialises in making wills and also deals with the administration of estates.
