About Lydia

Lydia is a paralegal who supports and assists the fee earners in the family team. Day-to-day, this includes attending new client meetings, liaising with professionals, drafting documents like divorce petitions, statements, briefs, forms, and attending conferences and Court hearings with clients and barristers.

Lydia has a first-class Law degree from the University of York, where she gained a specific interest in Family Law writing a dissertation on whether covert recordings should be allowed as evidence in private family proceedings involving children.

She completed her LPC and LLM at the University of Law in Leeds, achieving a distinction. She wrote her masters project on the need for reform in Surrogacy law in the UK. She is an empathetic individual and appreciates that going through family proceedings is a challenging season of life for all involved.
