Developing an early interest in fraudulent claims and having trained in EL/PL and motor claims, Peter moved to Hill Dickinson in 2001 to specialise in insurance fraud.
In 2004 he became head of fraud at Hill Dickinson developing an intelligence-led counter fraud team, working with insurers, brokers, syndicates, local government, law enforcement, self insured corporates to deliver market leading counter fraud legal, claims and intelligence services.
Peter has worked with compensators in various sectors to build and improve counter fraud strategy. He prioneered the creation of the Netfoil counter fraud system forging ties with the claimant and accident management industry to facilitate fraud prevention, detection and management.
In addition to insurance litigation Peter has advised insurance and corporate clients in relation to fraud issues, including asset tracing and protection, search and seizure injunctions, freezing injunctions, and complex recovery actions.
Peter enjoys the challenge of piecing together evidence to challenge and defeat fraudulent claims, stating "there's nothing better than preventing fraudulent claimants and their professional representatives receiving compensation payment and fees they are not entitled to. I particularly like the challenge of fighting complex and organised fraud rings."
