Since leaving sixth form in 2016, Tanesha has worked exclusively in mediation and family law and has gained a significant amount of experience relating to (private) matrimonial and children matters.
Since joining Langleys in 2020, Tanesha has assisted four fee earners of the family team on various matters as their paralegal and has recently started to manage her own caseload.
Tanesha’s day to day responsibilities include speaking to new enquiries, advising existing clients on their case, liaising with professionals, drafting documents (statements, briefs, forms etc) and attending conferences and Court Hearings with clients and Barristers.
Tanesha predominantly works with clients that are looking to initiate divorce proceedings or parents that are in dispute over child arrangement issues.
Talking about her role at Langleys, Tanesha describes her favourite part as assisting Barristers and attending Court. She says that there are several opportunities for networking and meeting new people.
Tanesha is the first port of call for new clients and appreciates that each case is unique. Tanesha is able to quickly build a rapport with clients as she approaches their situation in a friendly manner whilst remaining professional. She is happy to be in a position to support individuals during an emotional and overwhelming time in their lives. Tanesha states that clients are usually in a vulnerable state at the beginning but finds it rewarding to see them evolve and, the strength they demonstrate throughout the process is commendable.
Tanesha feels that no two days are the same at Langleys and she enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
