Langleys Advised on Sale of Disused Care Home for Housing

Jan 7th, 2015

Solicitors from Lincoln have advised on the sale of a former care home, which is set to be demolished to make way for nine state-of-the-art apartments.

Langleys Solicitors advised London-based developer Urban Strategic on the sale of Russell Hill in Purley, near Croydon, to Wandle Housing Association.

The planned re-development will see a tired converted terrace replaced with a three-storey residential building. Each floor will contain three, two-bedroom residences with a private balcony. Residents will have access to a communal garden and off-street parking.

Urban Strategic acquired the site and secured planning permission for the new development before agreeing to sell to the housing association.

Andrew Budgen, partner at Urban Strategic, said: “This was a challenging site but we have a strong track record of developments and we know the planning process. We look forward to bringing this exciting project forward.”

Sarah Miles, partner at Langleys Solicitors in Lincoln, said: “We were pleased to assist Urban Strategic in selling this site, which will see an old, unloved building replaced by modern and attractive housing.”
