The pretty North Lincolnshire village of Hibaldstow will gain its first national convenience store early next year when The Co-operative opens for business.
Developer Saxondale Properties received planning permission to build a 3,000 sq ft store with 22 parking spaces on land at the junction of main thoroughfare Redbourne Road and West Street.
It hopes to start work this summer, with the store scheduled to open early in the New Year.
Sarah Miles of Langleys Solicitors in Lincoln advised Nottingham-based Saxondale on the site acquisition and subsequent 20-year lease to The Co-operative.
The freehold of the building is under offer to a family property company.
The site also includes a building plot for a four-bedroom detached house, which will become available later this year.
Saxondale Properties Director Andrew Butcher said: “We are looking forward to commencing the construction in summer and ultimately completing the building to provide a valuable community asset early in 2016.
“Langleys have provided invaluable advice throughout the acquisition of the land, the construction detail and also the ultimate sale of the completed investment.”
