Fusco’s of Whitby has opened a new takeaway shop in Robin Hood’s Bay, creating up to five new jobs.
The family-run fish and chip business has launched ‘Fish Box’ after investing £500,000 in the purchase and refurbishment of the former Candy’s Café on New Road.
The commercial property and corporate teams at York-based Langleys Solicitors advised on the acquisition of the property.
Fusco’s of Whitby own the award-winning Quayside restaurant in the town as well as Royal Fisheries. The business opened its first ‘Fish Box’ venture in Whitby in 2013 and last year launched The Whitby Fish and Chips Catering Trailer.
Adrian Fusco said: “We’re delighted to have opened our second Fish Box in Robin Hood’s Bay – everything has gone to plan and we look forward to welcoming customers to our new express style fish and chip shop.”
Emma Warner, partner in commercial property at Langleys Solicitors, said: “We are pleased to have supported Fusco’s of Whitby in their latest acquisition – it is great to see a successful Yorkshire business expanding and creating jobs on the East Coast.”
