A former Royal British Legion club in a Lincolnshire village is to be developed into cottages.

The site in Malt Kiln Lane, Waddington is being turned into three properties after planning permission was secured by MC Builders (Lincoln) Ltd.

Langleys Solicitors, Lincoln acted for Mark Cheetham, owner of MC Builders, in the purchase of the former club and site.

Mark said: “We will be developing a terrace of three cottages which will be in keeping with the rest of the village. The properties will feature wooden frame windows and be stone built and will further enhance Malt Kiln Lane.”

The site was home to the Royal British Legion club from 1950 until November 2015 when it became vacant.

James Spittlehouse of the commercial property team at Langleys Solicitors, said:

“We are pleased to support MC Builders in its development of the club site which will provide additional homes in the popular village of Waddington.”

Work has started on the cottages development with the properties due to come to market in 2017.
