Nick Barnes re-accredited to Law Society’s Children Law Panel

Jun 24th, 2019

Congratulations to Nick Barnes, one of our Senior Associates within the Child Law team who has been re-accredited to the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Panel.

The Children Law Accreditation provides a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing children in child law proceedings. The accreditation shows awareness, knowledge and expertise in this area of law.

Nick had to undergo rigorous evaluation to achieve the re-accreditation. Lawyers with experience of this law can represent parents and family members. Only experienced practitioners with Children Law Panel Accreditation can represent children in the Family Court either in conjunction with a Court appointed Children’s Guardian or upon independent instructions.

This is what Nick had to say about his re-accreditation:

“Accreditation on what used to be called the Children Panel has and always will be a badge of quality and just as importantly provides a vital safeguard. I always try and keep in mind that it is a privilege to legally represent the youngest and most vulnerable members of society. It is probably also one of the best examples of why we are members of a profession and not just doing a job.”

Situations involving children can be difficult and sensitive. Our experienced team are here to provide support and guidance, aiming to achieve the very best outcome for you and your family.
