We are fortunate to have five new trainees join us this year. We sat down with Eleanor Frankish, one of our York Trainees, to find out more about why she chose Langleys and the challenges she anticipates. Her first seat is with the Employment Team.
Why you choose to train with Langleys?
After researching Langleys and having the opportunity to meet many members of the team on work experience, I felt that the Langleys training contract would provide me with the experience and support I needed to become the best solicitor I could be. Langleys view their trainees as their future and support them to build skills and knowledge accordingly. I was always welcomed so warmly and felt that Langleys was a place that I would enjoy working and would thrive.
What you are most looking forward to?
I am most looking forward to meeting the Langleys team and being able to learn from them. I love new challenges and can’t wait to get started in my first seat! I am also looking forward to gaining experience across different departments and exploring which area I might want to qualify into.
What challenges do you think you will face?
I think it will be challenging to adapt to the different ways of working in each seat but I am looking forward to embedding myself into each new team and having the opportunity to meet so many people.
What are your aspirations for the future?
I aspire to progress my career with Langleys and would love to become a future leader in the firm. I hope to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with future trainees and be the role model that so many people have been to me.
Next, we’re speaking to Jess Nicholson, who has begun her first seat with the York Private Client team.
